Funeral Directors choose their transportation partners carefully. The removal is the first moment of care, and how it’s handled reflects on everyone involved. At Omega Passage, we built our operations around that standard.
Our Vehicles
We transport in dedicated Toyota Siennas, configured for dignified human transport. The Sienna’s interior dimensions, reliability, and low profile make them well suited for hospital, hospice, and residential settings. These vehicles are efficient without being conspicuous.
Every retrieval is transported directly to the receiving facility. We do not stage or hold remains in the vehicle or in storage at this time. (We will be expanding in this direction).
Cots
Our primary transport cot is the Dura-Built 591-402 Mortuary Cot, rated to 1000 pounds. Multi-level height adjustment supports safe single-operator retrieval across a range of environments. Load-end legs unfold and lock automatically for vehicle loading. Folded the cot converts to a two wheeled stretcher for navigating hallways, doorways, and confined spaces. For complex retrievals: tight stairwells, floor level positions, narrow rooms – we carry mega movers and slide sheets. No scene stops us.

Personal Protective Equipment
All field personnel arrive with full PPE appropriate to the scene: gloves, but also tyvek suits, eye protection and respirators of the scene requires this level of protection.
We treat every scene with the same care, regardless of circumstance.
